Frequently Asked Questions.

Will I meet my anesthesiologist before surgery?

Yes, every patient is evaluated in the pre-operative clinic or on the ward before entering the operating room.

Can I request regional anesthesia instead of general?

Whenever clinically appropriate, we accommodate patient preferences for spinal, epidural, or nerve-block anesthesia.

How is post-operative pain managed?

We use a multimodal approach that combines regional blocks, non-opioid medications, and, if needed, patient-controlled analgesia pumps.

My child is undergoing surgery—can I accompany them until they are asleep in the OR?

Yes, we routinely allow parents to accompany their children into the operating room until they are asleep. This helps reduce anxiety for both the child and the parent.
