Katherine Miller

Dr. Katherine Miller is an esteemed orthopedic surgeon at the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute and the Paley Middle East Clinic, specializing in pediatric orthopedic surgery with a keen focus on limb lengthening, deformity correction, and pediatric orthopedic trauma. Her journey into medicine began at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, NY, where she obtained her medical degree. Following her passion for orthopedics, Dr. Miller completed her internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. Dr. Miller’s commitment to pediatric orthopedics led her to pursue specialized training through two prestigious fellowships. She first completed a one-year fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and foot deformity at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, WA, followed by another year focusing on pediatric limb lengthening and reconstruction at the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute in West Palm Beach, FL. This unique combination of fellowships has equipped Dr. Miller with a comprehensive skill set to address a wide range of pediatric orthopedic conditions. Throughout her career, Dr. Miller has demonstrated a profound dedication to serving communities in need. She has volunteered extensively in low-resource settings both domestically and internationally, embracing a global perspective on healthcare. Her work in medical school included studying Latino health and culture, as well as serving in free migrant clinics in upstate New York. Dr. Miller has provided care for children with complex conditions such as late presenting clubfoot and hip dysplasia in Mexico and Guatemala. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she led a team of local orthopedic surgery residents at a trauma hospital in rural Kenya for three months, showcasing her leadership and commitment to global health. Currently, Dr. Miller is a valued member of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Team at the Paley Institute, where she treats both children and adults suffering from limb deformities, deficiencies, and discrepancies. Her areas of interest are diverse and include pediatric orthopedic surgery, limb length discrepancies, bone healing problems, skeletal dysplasia, and a wide array of developmental and post-traumatic deformities.

Arun R. Hariharan, MD, MS

Dr. Arun Hariharan is a double fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon with particular expertise in pediatric spine surgery. In addition to the broad scope of pediatric orthopedics, his main passions are in caring for children with various spine-related conditions and in treating fractures in children. Dr. Hariharan attended medical school at the University of Michigan and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Maryland. He further pursued his interests in pediatric orthopedics by completing a pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at the Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children. To further advance his spine surgery skillset, he traveled to Auckland, New Zealand to train at the Starship Children’s Hospital for a pediatric spine fellowship. In addition to writing numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, Dr. Hariharan has also presented at various national conferences. He was awarded the Russel A. Hibbs Best Clinical Research Paper Award and the Louis A. Goldstein Best Clinical Research Poster Paper Award at the Spine Research Society Meeting in 2020. Conditions treated include the whole array of pediatric orthopedics including fractures. In particular, he focuses on spinal conditions in children such as scoliosis, kyphosis, and spondylolisthesis. He is a firm believer in evidence-based medicine and technology in providing the most up-to-date care possible for children. In addition to spinal fusion procedures, he offers growth “friendly” techniques such as Vertebral Body Tethering and MAGEC rods. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife, son, and their dogs. Dr. Hariharan is an avid Michigan Football and Basketball fan.

Dr.Marwane Ghosn

Prof. Dr. Marwane Ghosn is a distinguished Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon, and a Consultant in Hematology and Medical Oncology with over 30 years of experience; he has served as Chairman of the Hematology Oncology Department at both Saint Joseph University and Hôtel-Dieu de France University Hospital in Beirut, and has held key leadership roles at Clemenceau Medical Center, affiliated with Johns Hopkins International in Beirut and Dubai; a former President of the Lebanese Society of Medical Oncology, he has authored over 300 peer-reviewed articles and frequently presents at international conferences, with his expertise spanning breast cancer, urologic cancers, gastrointestinal tumors, geriatric oncology, and rare tumors, underscoring his commitment to patient safety and healthcare quality.

Rehna K Rahman

Dr. Rehna K. Rahman has been immersed in the field of pediatric nephrology since 2017. She completed her residency at the Department of Pediatric Nephrology, St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, a leading institute in pediatric nephrology services. Dr. Rahman is well-versed in managing pediatric glomerular diseases, including challenging cases of nephrotic syndrome and atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome. Her expertise extends to caring for children with CAKUT (Congenital Anomalies of the Kidney and Urinary Tract) and abnormal bladder conditions. In addition, Dr. Rahman has substantial experience in managing children with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and those undergoing peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis. She has managed critically ill children with acute kidney injury (AKI) and has performed SLED (Sustained Low-Efficiency Dialysis) and CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy).
