Dr. Rajasekhar Cingapagu is a Consultant, Pediatric Surgery at Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi, with a unique background of specialization seldom found as commonplace. With a solid foundation of medical studies, Dr Nadia Abdelwahed specialized in the branch of medical oncology and added valuable practical experience in the administration of oncology intervention and therapy by addressing the cases from all stages and conditions of the disease. Her specialty practice began in 2015 and continued for 3 years, making her an expert in diagnosing and screening of all cancer types of specially breast cancer and expert in cancer treatment methods qualifying her through the school of medicine residency program. During this period, she addressed both the in-patient and out-patient categories of patients. After this academic training and practical performance, Dr Nadia secured a placement as Medical Oncologist (Specialist) in a leading university oncology hospital in Damascus, Syria. Completing her tenure of office there, she joined another multispecialty center as Medical Oncologist from 2018 till 2021. Alongside her post-graduate studies and practical training, Dr. Nadia conducted her independent research studies leading to the master’s degree (Neoadjuvant Capecitabine in Rectal Cancer) Research in 2018. in 2017 she passed European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) exam and certified for a valid 5 years. In 2021 she also scored at the Immune Oncology Course from the Harvard Medical School, USA, in which she emerged with a Certificate of Achievement to her credit. She is also a recipient of the FRON Prize (Forum of Research in Oncology) for her research work on (Impact of HER-2 Ratio on Efficacy of Trastuzumab in Early Breast Cancer) in 2017. In 2021, Dr Nadia re-located to the UAE and qualified in HAD Licensing Exam as Specialist Medical oncology and soon after, joined VPS Healthcare at Burjeel Cancer Institute of the Burjeel Medical City.

Dr. Syed Faheem Ahmed has more than ten years of experience as a general surgeon in SSMC and Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi, before joining Burjeel Medical City. He graduated with his MBBS from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur, Pakistan. He can manage all types of general surgical emergencies, and patients with acute abdomen & trauma.

Dr. Farhan Rasool is a Consultant Dermatologist who pursued his M.D from Tehran Medical School, Iran. Following this, he completed his Post Graduate Degree in Dermatology, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Leprosy from the Skin Institute & School of Dermatology, New Delhi, India. In addition, he also holds Diplomate in Dermatology from Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians, Glasgow, UK. Further qualifications he has gained include the Member of National Academy New Delhi (MNAMS), European Union of Medical Specialists and European Board of Dermatovenerology Diploma, Member Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, United Kingdom. MRCPS (Glasgow). In 2012, Dr. Farhan has also pursued a Medical Research Course from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). He holds the license to practice medicine from Department of Health, Abu Dhabi, Medical Council of India, and Jammu and Kashmir State Medical Council. Dr. Farhan began his career by practicing in several renowned hospitals in India, where he held various career positions including Resident, Specialist Registrar and Consultant Dermatology and Cosmetology. In 2016, he shifted to UAE, where his professional track-record took an upward turn as he emerged as a Specialist Dermatologist serving Universal Hospital, Abu Dhabi and later as Head of Department and Specialist Dermatology at NMC Royal Hospital, Abu Dhabi. With an experience of over 15 years, Dr. Farhan is highly skilled in general dermatology, aesthetic dermatology, and surgical and procedural dermatology. To his credit, he has contributed several articles and papers to various research publications.

Dr. Firuz Ibrahim, MBBS, MD, DNB, FEBNM, is a highly accomplished specialist in the branch of nuclear medicine and holds the position of Specialist in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi. She has many years of experience in various nuclear medicine procedures with a special interest in nuclear oncology, radio-nuclide therapy, nuclear cardiology, neurology, and endocrine imaging interventions. Over the years of her much-awarded career, Dr. Firuz Ibrahim has successfully handled complicated and sensitive cancer cases with advanced nuclear medicine technology. She has actively participated in educating the non-nuclear medicine fraternity about the scope and prospects of Nuclear Medicine and has contributed to the efficacy of diagnosis and therapy procedures in the specialization. Other areas of her research and application include radio-nuclide therapy, dementia and Parkinson’s disease imaging, utility of FDG PET CT in pyrexia of unknown origin, PET CT in gynecological malignancies, Lymphoma and Multiple myeloma. Dr. Firuz Ibrahim received her training from a 1500-bedded high volume cancer center in South India. She also worked for another 5 years in a busy tertiary care hospital in South India, before joining Burjeel Medical City. She is a Fellow of European Board of Nuclear Medicine and has also received Master’s in Oncologic in Imaging Certificate from University of Pisa, Italy.

Dr. Abyad earned his medical degree Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from Beirut Arab University. After completion of his internship, he joined the Internal Medicine Residency in Makassed Hospital- Beirut, Lebanon affiliated with the American University of Beirut (AUBMC). He was appointed as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine (2017-2018). Later, he started his Fellowship in hematology and medical oncology in Makassed Hospital, where he received an intensive training in hematology, medical oncology, and bone marrow transplant. Dr. Amin later joined Burjeel Medical City in 2021. He is an expert in malignant hematology and solid malignancies. He has been involved in clinical research and in multiple research projects. Dr. Abyad believes in patient centred care, trying to enhance patient outcomes through the application of the latest evidence based practice and personalized medicine.

Dr. Mohammed Asif Qureshi has overall 21 years of rich work experience in Cosmetology and Dermatology in Middle East and India. He was associated with Mahatma Gandhi Mission Medical College Hospital, Navi Mumbai, India and served in Najran Armed Forces Hospital, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before moving to UAE. Dr. Mohammed Asif Qureshi had worked with notable health care brands in UAE. He has published various articles on Anti-ageing- emotional attributes, new combination therapies in Cosmetology and Stem cells – innovations in skincare industry.

Dr. Tariq Aamir is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Burjeel Medical City. He obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the School of Medicine, University of Khartoum, Sudan. He has acquired so many professional memberships like the Royal College of Physicians (1992), Central Drug Supplies Board, Gastroenterology Training Board, Sudan etc. He developed strategic plans for the Federal Ministry of Health, Sudan and even developed specialized services like Gastroenterology Centre. Apart from these, he has a postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology and General Medicine from UK. During the period 1991 to2001, he worked at various levels in various hospitals in the UK, which tamed him as an expert and skilled physician with a deep root and in-depth knowledge in the field. He also participated in teaching medical students from Liverpool University and worked as a Consultant in General Medicine with an interest in gastroenterology at University Hospital Aintree, Liverpool, UK from 1998 to 2001. He was the Consultant Gastroenterologist in Khartoum teaching Hospital from 2002 to 2013 and worked at Mediclinic airport road, Burjeel Hospital and NMC from 2013 to 2021. He is skilled in executing various complex medical procedures like the upper and lower GI endoscopy. He is also an expert in polypectomy, stenting, and dilatation, ERCP, esophageal manometry, esophageal pH study, capsule endoscopy, fibro scan etc. He has served as the Head of Khartoum Training Center for Medical Registrars. He has also shown his expertise and leadership quality by supervising research for medical students and MD candidates. He achieved setting up a state-of-the-art endoscopy in Khartoum Teaching Hospital that served millions of people. The unit was well equipped with fluoroscopy and endoscopic laser therapy. Dr. Shoaib Nadaf is a Specialist Anesthesiologist with more than ten years of experience in the adult ICU, post-surgical ICU, and neuro ICU. Dr. Nadaf is an expert in invasive lines, tracheostomies, intercostal tubes, paracentesis, and lumbar drains.
